The international art market has had some dramatic ups and downs, particularly
since the GFC, but the Chinese art market has been especially impressive. While it
has eased back a little in line with their ‘slowing’ economy (and countries around the globe wish their
economies were as even a fraction as strong) they continue to buy back their heritage, acquiring art
and especially objects of Oriental provenance at sometimes breathtaking prices.
